"THE ORIGINAL PIONEERING ACID HOUSE NIGHT IS BACK IN IT'S SPIRITUAL HOME"
Kaos was the original acid house night that pioneered the acid house music and cultural revolution which started in 1988 and is still the Saturday night sound of clubs throughout the world today. I am organising a very special Kaos Re - Union in its spiritual home the Leeds Warehouse on Saturday 26th March and this night just as Kaos was is open to all music lovers...its what is in your soul thats counts and not about the label you have on your back......i cant wait to see everyone both older and younger and hope you enjoy this very special re union as much as I will.... KAOS the name came from the Dr Baker track K.A.O.S and was a classic acid house track that came out of the magical revol...ution that was Acid house back in 1988. KAOS the night was born after a night out at the legendary Hacienda nightclub in Manchester where we had just heard the legends Mike Pickering, Graeme Park and Jon Da Silva spin a mix of music that was fresh and innovative and would soon sweep the nation and change not only the way music was produced but it changed attitudes and broke down barriers which changed society for ever.
The first ever KAOS event was organised at Ricky's on an August Bank Holiday Monday in 1988 and outside London and the Hacienda was the third house music party to run in the UK. The party was initially going to be a one off but after the first night in Ricky's it became a weekly Saturday night that will go down in history of the Leeds clubbing scene that set the standard for years to come. KAOS was organised as a party for friends and even the DJ's Mark and Farrar were already friends before KAOS was born. It was that special bond between us all that made KAOS so special. Regular DJ's at our Wednesday night were Sasha, 808 State, Nipper, Tony Ross to mention a few and who can forget the Leeds Polytechnic with Sasha, Steve Williams and Laurent Garnier with the Piro's going off and fifteen hundred people with their hands in the air. I have received hundreds of mails over the years from people thanking me for saying that I have given them the best clubbing nights of their lives but I only have one thing to say
" I thank you for giving me the best memories of mine too"
